Franky is currently director global supply chain for Advanced Materials at Eastman Chemicals. He has about 20 years in supply chain with Monsanto, Solutia, UCB and Cytec. He has been involved in several company integrations as part of acquisitions. He leads the global planning organization, customer service, global transport and warehousing. Most recently, the focus was on network and sourcing optimization.

Frank Claus

Frank Claus is a senior leader with large experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing and IT. He has worked in the Polymers’ and Chemicals businesses for SABIC and DSM. Frank has a proven track record in the areas of Supply Chain Planning, Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay. In 2011, Frank and his supply chain team won the "Responsible Care Award" of the Dutch Chemical Industry. Frank has reengineered the European supply chain for Chemicals, introducing a new advanced business optimization concept. Since 2013 he has been based in Riyadh and is today leading SABIC’s Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence.

Alain Crottaz gained his broad supply chain experience by taking on different roles in Planning, Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Excellence. While the bulk of is supply chain career was in the CPG sector with Coca-Cola, Alain also worked in the humanitarian sector with the International Committee of the Red Cross and in the apparel sector with Fruit of the Loom. Today Alain holds the position of Global Supply Chain Excellence Director at AkzoNobel, the largest specialty chemicals company in the world. His most recent project was bringing Demand Sensing understanding and tools to the Decorative Coating part of the AkzoNobel business.

Patric Burkhart

Patric Burkhart is Vice President Process Architecture within the competence center “Information Services and Supply Chain Operations” responsible for Business Process Management. Patric has excellent experience in information systems and business process management. In his unit he is responsible for establishing Business Process Management as core competency of BASF Group.

Prior to his actual role he was program manager for project One, which was BASF's project to implement harmonized processes for the Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance area while migrating 217 companies from different ERP systems onto BASF's single ERP system going forward. He has strong skills in process and systems, project management, change management, broad experience with subject matter expertise in supply chain and information technology. Patric Burkhart holds a Master of Business Administration from the University Of Mannheim, Germany.

Joelle Mulders

Joelle has been appointed Global Supply Chain Director about a year ago when Allnex started to deploy a large transformation program to implement a single ERP platform across the corporation. She is responsible for the planning, logistics and customer service organizations. Her priorities have been to drive the design, implementation and adoption of a robust S&OP process by all four Business Units and to support the implementation of the ERP project while ensuring its execution within the Supply Chain organization to deliver business benefits. Frank has been involved in various outsourcing projects in the petroleum and chemical industry, involving large-scale transport and distribution operations as well as the provision of associated logistics services.

After more than 16 years on the supply-side of transport and logistics services, Frank Andreesen joined Bayer MaterialScience with the clear mission to further improve the quality of the relationship between Bayer MaterialScience and its logistics service providers. He is committed to building more collaborative longer term business relationship with fewer service providers, this being what is required maintain a sustainable logistics network in what will always remain a highly competitive, dynamic and increasingly unpredictable business environment.

These included Business Unit Head for Lyondell Basell (Elenac, Basell, LyB), SVP of the US PP Business and  the Global Polyethylene BU in 2008, and from 2009 with Lanxess Global Procurement and Logistics as VP Olefins Procurement and more recently VP Global Logistics Management.

An D’Haenens is the Logistics Sourcing Leader at DuPont with responsibility for all transport and warehouse services across DuPont's businesses in Europe. In her previous position as European Supply Chain Manager EMEA for DuPont’s paint business, she acquired extensive knowledge on all aspects of supply chain management.

An received a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ghent, Belgium and a Master of Business Administration at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School. She joined DuPont in 1991 and held various positions in Manufacturing, Business Management and International Supply Chain Management.

Carsten Weers

Carsten has been with BASF for over 14 years, where he started in an international marketing trainee program. After working five years in the marketing of the European business unit for lacquer raw materials and architectural coatings, he was appointed to become the Head of Supply Chain Management of dispersions for adhesives & construction in Europe in October 2005. In 2009 he was appointed by BASF to coordinate the global supply chain management in the global strategic marketing of the polyurethanes division. Since January 2014, Carsten has been responsible for the global supply chain management of the monomers division within BASF.

Following his return in 2013, Thomas is now Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for Europe. In 2005-2007 Filip had the opportunity to broaden his business experience with a sales leadership assignment. In these functions, he gained working experience in various places across Europe and Asia. Henning also lectures International Supply Chain Management at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

Jaap Mendel

Jaap is currently responsible for all EMEA operations and  oversaw the carve out and transition of Axalta’s Operations, Supply Chain and Planning systems to a fully independent company. Axalta made a successful IPO in November 2014 and is now a public listed company on the NYSE. In 2013, the Axalta Coating Systems leadership team mandated the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement (CI) organization to launch, design and implement a series of physical distribution network optimization work streams to significantly reduce (10%) the variable - and fixed finished product distribution expenses over a period of 1 to 2 years whilst maintaining the service levels to the customers. As a  leader of the CI organization, Jan and his team help drive this project forward to achieve successful implementation with sustainable results. In addition to these continuous improvement projects Jan also supports the implementation of a new (global) multi-generation integrated supply planning system, all the way from S&OP to asset scheduling.

In January ’15 he relocated back to Belgium to manage the world wide supply chain projects for the Advanced Interlayers business. Before joining Eastman, he was working as an analyst for the financial markets at KBC bank in Brussels.  Joris holds a Bachelor and Masters in Computer Science from the KU Leuven, and a PhD obtained at the Centre of Industrial Management also at the KU Leuven.

Peter Buysse has 16 years experience in business process improvements & project management in logistics and supply chain. Having a strong focus on process performance Peter has lead and coached various teams towards successful system process implementations covering both Chemical & Seeds/Vegetable divisions of Monsanto in Western & Eastern Europe. Within this role he has been actively managing the interfacing processes between IT and the business. Recently a lot of focus was on enabling collaboration processes between the different internal  & external supply chain  partners. Currently he is EMEA SC Improvement Lead, Customer Care as part of the Antwerp based EMEA Supply Chain Competence, Strategy & Operations Team. Peter is a lean & 6sigma black belt and is APICS CSCP certified.

Alexandre Leopoldes

Following that, he worked in the Logistics 3PL business for over a decade, filling roles varying from supply chain engineer to site manager, and from marketing manager to managing director of a transport management center. After that, he served two years as director of supply chain for a large department retail chain, where he initiated the transformation from a silo-oriented logistics organization to an end-to-end supply chain. To widen his scope further, Marcel joined a business consulting firm, where he set up a supply chain consulting unit, working for six years with major accounts in several sectors. End of 2012, Marcel joined the team at AIMMS, to lead developments in the domain of supply chain optimization.

Mr. De Vries is involved with ORTEC's Social Responsibility Program (‘Optimizing the World') in order to contribute to humanitarian aid organizations by deploying ORTEC's resources, knowledge and expertise to optimize logistical processes. Specifically, Mr. Hoefnagels was directly involved with the design, implementation and operational management of the EMEA logistics configuration for one of the world’s leading high-tech and computer equipment manufacturers. He managed the commercial development and contract management of multiple warehousing and distribution outsourcing deals throughout Europe and USA. Additionally, he oversaw the set-up and operational management of Central European Distribution Centers for various companies in the high tech, automotive and consumer business industries.


Prior to joining CLX Logistics Europe, Mr. Hoefnagels held senior management positions at Intexo (DHL), TNT Logistics, DSV Solutions and Alliance Boots, and served as a consultant and manager at A.T. Kearney.

In his time as academic researcher, he focused on the application of quantitative models in supply chain design and planning. His work resulted in several publications in leading scientific journals.


Before joining EyeOn, Ieke worked for TNT Express and Philips in various supply chain improvement roles. He specialized in Lean Six Sigma first as Black Belt and later as Master Black Belt responsible for major improvements program.


Since his employment at EyeOn he has worked for a wide array of companies in the FMCG, High Tech and Process industry. He is well experienced in improving demand planning & forecasting processes and implementing Sales & Operations Planning. Together with Stijn Rutjes, he is leading the ‘Process Industry Business Team’ that is serving customers in the chemical-, feed-, food ingredients- and packaging industry.

Before joining EyeOn, Stijn worked 7 years for DSM Coating Resins. Within DSM he has been responsible for the implementation of demand planning within the various sales departments, has been European logistics managers and was responsible for the Sales & Operations Planning process for one of the market segments.

Xavier Vanrolleghem

Xavier Vanrolleghem has been working for the Antwerp Port Authority since 2004 where he is responsible for developing the Antwerp Oil and Chemical Cluster, Europe’s largest integrated oil and chemical cluster.Between 2005 and 2012, Xavier has also been a member of the Executive Committee of ECSPP (European Chemical Site Promotion Platform), a European organisation founded to promote Europe as a chemical investment location. ECSPP’s members are the main European chemical sites and organisations that attract inward investment.

Before joining the Antwerp Port Authority, Xavier worked in the industrial services and maintenance where he reorganized the administration of a group active in oil and chemical clusters of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Le Havre. Xavier Vanrolleghem received a master's degree in commercial engineering from the University of Antwerp. He now is also a guest lecturer at Flanders Port Training Centre (APEC), a training centre that transfer of port knowledge from Flanders to the world.
